The National Agriculture Museum in Prague, located at Letna, stands as a beacon of fun and learning for families visiting the city. Renowned as one of Prague’s most child-friendly museums, it offers a delightful blend of educational and interactive experiences that cater to both children and adults.

Upon entering the museum’s backyard, visitors are greeted by a charming rural setting, complete with hens, cocks, and rabbits, offering kids a chance to get up close with these friendly animals. The yard also features a nostalgic, hand-driven carousel, which is a hit among the young ones, providing endless laughter and joy. During summer, the space transforms into a bustling little market where you can grab a bite or a refreshing drink, although this area seems to take a break in winter.

Admission to the museum is free for kids under 15 years, a rarity in Prague, making it an affordable outing for families. Adults can explore the museum for about 5€, which is a small price for the rich experience that awaits. The museum spreads across three floors, each dedicated to a different aspect of agriculture, topped with a stunning 360-degree rooftop view. In summer, this experience is enhanced with a small, yet beautiful garden.

The third floor is focused on gastronomy, and especially for toddlers and smaller children this is a paradise! They can engage in sensory play, pretend shopping, and even try their hand at ‚baking‘ with plaster. The second floor, dedicated to water, is interesting but tends to be a quicker visit. The first floor is an absolute delight, focusing on animals, fishing, and hunting. It’s highly interactive, allowing kids to ‚milk‘ a cow or play fishing games. There’s even an indoor play area to keep the little ones busy.

The basement (-1 floor) is a wonderland of tractors, where kids can ride pedal tractors and, for an extra fee, older children can try agricultural simulations like excavator and tractor rides.

With an elevator for easy accessibility (although the rooftop might not be stroller-accessible), the National Agriculture Museum in Prague is an all-inclusive, fun-filled destination. Whether you have a one-year-old or older kids, it promises hours of enjoyment and learning.
